Jewish community Chabad Lubavitch Moldova


The Manger City Library in Kishinev, capital of Moldova, recently celebrated its twentieth anniversary with a special evening to which the leaders of various Jewish organizations and members of the Jewish community were invited.

The guest of honor was Rabbi Zalman Abelsky, Chabad emissary and Chief Rabbi of Moldova, who has revived the Jewish community after many years of destruction and obscurity.

Various Moldovan artists were also present, including Konstantin Moscowitz, who sang a medley of Jewish songs. A dance was performed by Mikhail Paula.

The director of the city library said that she was pleased to mark two decades of operations. She also spoke about the city library’s publications division and said that the library played a leading role in the capital city.
